OGOH OGOH

Ogoh-ogoh festival is celebrated every year on the island of Bali as a celebration to welcome the new year Caka (Balinese calendar) or Hari Raya Nyepi (silent day). anyone may participate to follow the parade ogoh-ogoh,
usually every village will make at least 2 ogoh-ogoh to enliven the event. After ogoh-ogoh finished paraded around the village, generally ogoh-ogoh will be burned as a symbol of negative energy back into their respective worlds.
